Looking Rose-y

We love a Rosewood. You know, grown-up hotels with all the swish you ever wanted – and some you didn’t know you wanted yet – and they’re on a bit of a roll right now. A second London property (the first’s one’s up there. Pretty huh) is on its way – at the former US Embassy in Grosvenor Square, so at least you know the walls are thick – Madrid, St Barth’s and Sao Paulo get their first later this year, and Rome, Amsterdam and Miyakoji are being worked on as we speak. And if they aren’t, there’ll be words.

And to finesse all of the above, Rosewood are launching a new guest experience across all their hotels and resorts, ‘Rosewood PlaceMakers’, which has nothing to do with cork-based coasters or indeed a doily. They are local visionaries with deep, deep roots in Rosewood’s locations, who will offer highly exclusive, highly immersive experiences for guests. Catie Miller and Boniface Verney-Carron, for example, of Oona Series - a multi-dimensional wellness platform - will offer an on-demand, in-room wellness portal at Rosewood London with meditation, workouts and bedtime stories; over in Phuket, Philip Huang, a sustainable clothing designer, will host ‘The Future of Tradition’, while Liu Min and Ian Hylton of Ms MIN, one of China’s most innovative luxury fashion labels, will redesign the largest suite at Rosewood Beijing, put on very special fashion shows and shopping experiences, plus debut Ms MIN’s Fall/Winter 2021 collection. And that’s just touching the surface, kids.
