Mighty Hoopla Weekender, you say?
The last time we were in or near a Butlins we were two-thirds up the driveway before the front passenger seat piped up, ‘Turn the car round Paul, we’re not staying here!’ That would’ve been Linda. Butlins Bognor Regis has changed a lot since then, which was the early ‘90s give or take a gin or three, and now that it’s all zhuzhed up – but still with a knowing nod to seaside kitsch – we’re totally going to Mighty Hoopla’s Weekender bender at the end of January. Everything we know, love, love some more about Mighty Hoopla, but, like, a proper stay-over. Three whole days and nights of dancing and prancing and dressing up and live shows and showing off and boozy brunches and movie nights and disco days and jumping in and out of pools in inappropriate swimwear and probably a whole load of bingo, it’s the weekend that will kick Dry January (ew!) right to the curb - probably in a corky wedge - and kick-start 2022 in all the right ways.
