Nice (vegan) meat, mate!

Rudy's Vegan Butcher Islington.jpg

Rudy’s – off-of Rudy’s Vegan Diner in Camden Stables – is opening the UK’s first all-vegan butchers this Sunday, 1st November in Islington. Which also happens to be World Vegan Day, and that is what is known in showbusiness as timing.

Rudy’s Vegan Butchers will cover all your meat gamuts, only with names that are kind to animals. Ooh, like soysage, baycon, lobstah, rack of jack, chick’n lover pâté, BBQ pulled porc, even roast turk’y right in time for Christmas. They’ve even got a snazzy charcuterie section, featuring such classics as smoked ham, salami de provence, pepperoni and pastrami. And black puddin’! And eggs!

And, to celebrate their opening, Rudy’s is giving away 100lbs of baycon this coming Monday, 2nd November, on a first come first stuffed basis. Each customer will get half a pound, which is a lot apparently.

Piers Morgan must be slipping of his designer-imposter chair right now.
