A vegan ice cream that helps the arts? This lot are SO going to heaven.

The Show Must Go On Vegan Ice Cream.png

Northern Bloc – who make blocks of ice cream, in the north – have unveiled their brand new, brand spanking, spankingly new, newly spanked ice cream. But, ladies and germs, this isn’t your average ice cream. Oh no it isn’t. (This last line will make sense in about 17 seconds, more if you’re half-reading this while watching The One Show.)

Firstly, it’s vegan. Hooray for that, because, you know, eat kind. Secondly, it comes in 100% plastic-free packaging. We refer you to our previous retort. Three and perhaps even four, it’s white chocolate and honeycomb, which is so delicious we might have to take a pair of these tights off.

It’s called ‘The Show Must Go On!’ and in a move that is quite the turn on, proceeds from the sale of every single tub goddamnit are going to the Theatre Support Fund+, the charity that supports Acting for Others, The Fleabag Support Fund and NHS Covid-19 Urgent Appeal ie. the theatre industry. Because, as we all know, it’s a particularly tough time for our chums in the West End and beyond. And who better to get stuck in than Northern Bloc, who already do a killer line in vegan ice creams (including chocolate mint biscuit! And strawberry & yuzu! And caramel sea salt! And Sicilian lemon! And and and!) and whose 100ml tubs (blocs?) are a firm fixture during half time at theatres across the land.

Northern Bloc’s ‘The Show Must Go On!’ is available exclusively at Waitrose.
