Trainers, much?

What do you get when you combine one of the UK’s most luxurious footwear specialists and one of London’s most exclusive retail destinations?

Kick Game at Burlington Arcade, that’s what. The former was strictly www until it opened a bricks ‘n’ mortar on Kensington High Street last year and Burlington Arcade’s not exactly known for fashion-forward - what with its emphasis on fancy-as heritage brands, jewellery, fine watches, perfume, gorgeous little tea shops, that sort of thing - ever since Lord Cavendish opened the arcade in 1819. Heck, the place even has its security, the Beadles, the smallest private police force in existence. Try adding that to your next pub quiz.

And now those Beadles get to keep watch over probably the most exclusive collection of sneakers in London/the world/anywhere else you can think of, as Kick Game becomes the latest boutique in Mayfair’s glittering Burlington Arcade.

‘We're thrilled to be working with the renowned Burlington Arcade on this special project giving our customers a new and different experience and the Arcade an original offering,’ says David Franks, co-founder of Kick Game. ‘We don't see this as your average shoe boutique. Burlington Arcade x Kick Game will be an interactive space where artists and creatives are invited to collaborate and explore the artistry behind the brands, and of course customers can find their perfect pair of sneakers!’

So expect the largest Air DIOR collection in the UK, sellout Supreme x Louis Vuitton footwear, Air Jordan Satin Bread (us neither, but the only 501 pieces in the world, apparently), collections of Jordan Banned AirShip Pro plus other things you never knew you totally wanted. And it all kicks off (too easy) on Saturday, 10th October with in-store cameos from, like, really cool artists and stuff.
